Day 60 - A picture that makes your heart hurt
i guess it would be photos of poverty anywhere in the world but especially that close to home. its hard to see the faces of poverty and to know those are people just like me, with beliefs, ideas and histories and ambitions. its really difficult to see children who are innocent but their lives have changed because of poverty and they have a long road ahead of them.
more personal photos that make my heart hurt sometimes are of photos of friends together, doing friend things and being happy. knowing that things are not like that anymore sometimes is hard to swallow and often makes me long for that world of being oblivious to who those people would become and who i would become as well.
for me, photos are really personal and have so much meaning. i can see a picture and remember how i felt, what i was doing and it brings in new feelings. often, i do wish i could go back there. i think thats why i take so many photos of everything. i want to remember everything i possibly can, and things i can't remember, i want to be able to find in a photo that will help me remember.
on another note, i've been thinking about a certain person a lot lately. i dont know why the hell i am. i'm hoping its part of the end process of getting over him. he is still amazing, but it is time to move on.
